![]() The cables are a bit short, will have trouble reaching the under-hood boost contacts for models like mine where the battery is hidden in the trunk. The battery is nominally rated at about 20,000 mah, which is probably an exaggeration which will soon fade in any case. But it's still capable of starting a car - the spec is just marketing overhype.Ĭhecking the details, it does have an override button on the safety module, an important feature for when the car battery is totally dead. The "2000 amp" rating is of course total nonsense - the thin light-duty cables are not capable of passing more than a few hundred amps. ![]() So I've been looking for a replacement deal, and I'll probably try this Gooloo model. I have a jump starter from Anker which is several years old, and it still holds a charge just fine - except that it has never been able to do a successful jump start due to both a defective cable initially and another unknown internal problem after the cable was replaced, and Anker has since abandoned the product line. ![]() However Gooloo has been selling these products for a while, so they can't be too bad. But to be realistic, it's a common issue with almost all devices powered by lithium-ion batteries, especially cheaper Chinese brands like Gooloo. Some reviewers complain about the same issue with Gooloo.
